Biocerapond is an exceptional biological filtration mass. It has a colonisation capacity of over 2000 m2/m3 on average, ranging from 1450 m2 to 3000 m2/m3 depending on size and shape.

Biocerapond is not only an excellent biological filtration mass, it also provides very good mechanical filtration.

100% natural, it is a ceramic, untreated, chemical-free material that does not create any discharge into your pond or natural water.

Biocerapond does not degrade, does not clog and can be used over and over again. This is a great advantage, especially when used in biological swimming pool lagoons, as pozzolan tends to clog very quickly.

Very light and quick to install, it has a low density and weighs no more than 350 kg / m3. It does not need to be rinsed.

Biocerapond allows water to flow evenly over the entire filter surface. It does not create a preferential passage like some filter media. Its mixture of blocks of different sizes, shapes and densities allows it to create variations in water speed for better mixing, better oxygenation and therefore better biological purification.

It can be cleaned by a simple backwash or by using a water jet connected to the water (of course, not tap water).

Avoid leaving the Biocerapond without water for too long, otherwise the bacterial flora will be damaged.

Advice for using Biocerapond: when used in a chamber filter, prefer a hydraulic flow from bottom to top.
If possible, leave a settling space between the Biocerapond and the bottom of the tank.
If this is not the case, install a drain in the tank with a drain valve.
You can install a raised grid in the bottom so that the coarse sediment settles to the bottom and is drained off during a drain.
Use a pre-filter such as a grid filter, Japanese brush or multicyclone as a reference.
