Tylomelania towutensis is a freshwater snail native to the lakes of Sulawesi (Indonesia). It is prized for its elongated shell and contrasting colours, as well as its peaceful behaviour and usefulness in aquariums.

A robust species that requires stable, well-mineralised water, it is an excellent maintenance aid while adding an exotic touch to the tank.
