Blue Jelly Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi "Blue Jelly")

Translucent light blue freshwater shrimp, robust and ideal for beginners

Neocaridina davidi "Blue Jelly" is a farmed variety prized for its translucent, luminous light blue colouring. More delicate than the Blue Dream, it adds an elegant, natural touch to planted aquariums. Easy to maintain, it is ideal for both novice and experienced aquarists.

1. Behaviour and maintenance

A calm, gregarious and active species, to be kept in groups of at least 10 individuals. It coexists very well with peaceful fish and actively participates in cleaning the tank by consuming microalgae, biofilm and food debris.

2. Water parameters

  • Temperature: 20–26 °C
  • pH: 6.5–7.5
  • GH: 6–12 °dGH
  • KH: 2–8 °KH
  • Minimum volume: 20 L

3. Feeding

Omnivorous: specific shrimp food, poached vegetables (courgette, spinach), dried leaves (catappa) and natural biofilm. A varied diet promotes beautiful colouring and regular reproduction.
