At AquaBota, we use logos to help you find your way around more easily.
There are different logos for different subjects and this page will help you to identify them better.
Level of difficulty of the plants
The following three logos will tell you at a glance whether a particular plant is right for you and your aquarium, depending on the degree of difficulty.
Easy / beginner level
Intermediate level
Expert level
Lighting requirements
As we all know, some aquatic plants need more light than others. We've decided to make it easy for you, so you can be sure you're not making a mistake.
Less than 20 lumens/litre
Between 20 and 40 lumens/litre
Over 40 lumens/litre
CO2 needs
Sometimes, in order to have beautiful colours, plants need CO2.
These two logos will tell you whether the plant you are looking at needs CO2 or not to grow properly.
Plant growth
Fast growth
Fast-growing aquatic plants are perfect for beginners but also for combating algae growth in a "new" aquarium.
Moderate growth
Plants that grow slowly at the beginning of their planting but once established, they can develop rapidly.
Slow growth
Plants that produce only 2 to 3 leaves per month and consume few nutrients.
It is always important to maintain a certain balance between fast and slow growing plants so that there is not an excess of nutrients in the aquarium, otherwise there is a risk of algae blooms as nutrients are not consumed.
Other categories
Both logos are present so that you can be 100% sure that the plant you buy is suitable for your needs: terrarium or pond.
And that's it, our explanation of the logos is over! It went by quickly didn't it?
