Savu pod / Jequitiba 6-9cm

The savu pods grow on the Brazilian Cariniana legalis tree. Jequitiba is a province in Brazil where these trees grow as well.

The effects of Savu pods on the water parameters can be compared with the effects of catappa products. The savu pods are full of tannins that have many positive effects and reduce the KH/pH of the water in a natural way. These tannins also have an antibacterial and stress-reducing effect. The savu pods give the water a brown color and are therefore also suitable for creating a blackwater biotope.

Shrimp and other small animals like to hide in the savu pods. A savu pod is a natural product and can therefore differ in shape and size.
