Hypancistrus sp. L340 is a splendid loricariid from the Rio Curua-Una in Brazil. Its black and cream coat makes it similar to the famous L066, but more compact and stocky. A peaceful, discreet species, ideal for a well-structured Amazonian aquarium.

A territorial but peaceful fish. Requires a minimum 150 L tank with plenty of oxygen and hiding places (tubes, stones, roots). Nocturnal and discreet, it prefers shady areas.
