Rineloricaria lanceolata "Red" is a beautiful red variety of the famous whiptail catfish. Native to South America, it is appreciated for its peaceful behaviour and its ability to clean the bottom of the aquarium. It's a hardy species that's easy to keep.

Quiet and discreet. Prefers to live in a small group in a well-oxygenated tank with a fine substrate and hiding places (roots, flat stones). Likes to forage for food.

5. Reproduction
Eggs are laid in cavities or tubes. The male guards the eggs until they hatch (around 5-6 days). Reproduction is accessible to experienced aquarists.
