The Platydoras costatus, also known as the striped catfish, is a discreet inhabitant oftropical freshwater. Native to the Amazon basin, it is distinguished by its light-coloured stripes and its ability to emit light sounds when it communicates.
Behaviour & maintenance
This calm, nocturnal species should be kept alone or in small groups in an aquarium of at least 250 litres. Use a silent filter and a decor rich in hiding places.
Diet
