Planting & maintenance
- Rinse off the nutrient gel, then divide the cup into small clumps.
- Planted: space clumps 2–3 cm apart to encourage density.
- Floating: let it drift at the surface to create protective cover.
- Regular trimming: pinch tips to make it bushier; replant cuttings to propagate.
- Light dosing of liquid fertilizers helps in very lean water; CO2 is not essential.
Compatibility & uses
- Community tanks & livebearer breeding tanks (guppies, endlers, etc.).
- Dwarf shrimp: biofilm surface & resting zones.
- Start-up phase: helps stabilize by absorbing nitrates & free nutrients.
Aquabota tips
- Avoid excessive flow when used floating to keep calm areas for fry.
- If water is very poor in nutrients, add a weekly dose of complete fertilizer (N-P-K + micros).
- If it gets invasive, trim short and remove excess to keep light for low plants.
